Entering the Rainforests.

Quepos to Bahia Drake.
It was a long passage…..9 hours under motor…boring flat seas with the occasional turtle with birds on its back to break up the monotony. A few dolphins joined us for about 20 minutes and we hooked a big fish that broke our line. Other than that, it was pretty boring.. Motored the whole way although we put up sails to give us a little lift. We are in the doldrums.
Chantal and I went ashore to discover wonderful wilderness resort in Bahia Drake.
We booked a canopy tour and enjoyed the beach walk. The fragrance of gardenia was intoxicating.. The dead sloth on the beach- revolting-
We were amazed at how lush and green this bay is. The bamboo stalks were huge and the variety of flowers and tropical plants breath taking. There is a luxury/rustic high end resort that really offers an amazing get away experience.
I was glad to get off the boat.
